Example of the Pomodoro technique in practice:

Let's say you have an important task ahead of you, namely preparing a presentation for an upcoming customer meeting.

  1. You start the Pomodoro timer and work continuously on the presentation for 25 minutes. You fully focus on collecting data, preparing slides and formulating your speech.
  2. When the timer sounds, take a short 5-minute break. You get up from your seat, stretch and take a few deep breaths to refresh your mind.
  3. After the break, start a new Pomodoro session and continue to fine-tune your presentation for the next 25 minutes.
  4. After four Pomodoro sessions (about 2 hours), take a longer break of 15-30 minutes. You use this time to take a stroll outside and recharge your energy.

By repeating this process, you can maintain a high level of productivity and concentration over a longer period of time.
